THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA TERMINATED THE DECISION ON CLOSING ALL BORDER CROSSINGS FOR ENTERING TO THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA

May 23nd, 2020

The Government of the Republic of Serbia passed the Decision on termination of the Decision on closing all border crossings, as well as the Decision on amendments to the Decision on declaring COVID-19 infectious disease.
With the mentioned decisions, all border crossings of the Republic of Serbia have been opened on May 22, 2020, they are functioning in the usual regime.

Members of the competent state authorities will perform standard border checks, in accordance with the Law on Border Control and other relevant regulations (the credibility of allegations regarding the place of departure and intended stay, circumstances related to the purpose of travel, etc.).

Also, the amendments to the Decision on declaring the COVID-19 disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, a contagious disease, lifted the ban on entering the Republic of Serbia, as well as epidemiological measures for all categories of domestic and foreign citizens, which means that for entering the Republic of Serbia foreign citizens no longer need a special permit.

All persons entering the Republic of Serbia, instead of previous isolation measures and the obligation to possess negative PCR test, will be given a written notification during passport control about the measures to be followed in order to prevent the occurrence, spread and suppression of the infectious disease COVID-19.

We draw special attention to foreign citizens with approved temporary residence in the Republic of Serbia, and whose validity expired during the state of emergency, the validity period will be extended and they can enter the Republic of Serbia until July 1, 2020
